Donation to Zonta Birthing Kits

Zonta International is a leading global service organisation of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls. In 2003, District 23 adopted the Zonta Birthing Kit project. This project involves clubs arranging birthing kit assembly days to put together simple clean birthing kits that are sent to help birthing assistants in developing countries.

Every hour 33 women die of complications related to pregnancy and childbirth.  An estimated 385,000 women die annually in childbirth, many from preventable infections. These kits are working to reduce these numbers.

Galen's House Captains are working to raise awareness of this cause. They are raising money to purchase kits that they will assemble together with the one of the Unit 2 VCE Health & Human Development classes.

Donate now to support the purchasing of these kits which will in turn support the women they are distributed to. 

Each birthing kit costs $10.
